What The Wedding Party Is Saying About ESPRESSO JAZZ

"Elina and I wanted to thank you for your performance at our wedding reception. The feedback from our guests was that your music is enjoyable and presented in a professional manner. Most importantly Elina and I enjoyed it. It was a big part of making our day more special. We look forward to listening to you perform again in some local venue. We wish you continued success".   Darryl & Elina, Wedding, May 25, 2008  Longmeadow, MA

"What can we say except that Espresso Jazz was a foundational piece of the most magical of weddings - OURS!  Thank you for the special part you played (no pun intended) in Brooke and Greg's lives. We will never forget all of the memorable songs that you performed and, in particular, your surprise rendition of 'Sabora Mi'. We hope to have you back for a renewal of our vows in 10 years!"   Brooke & Greg, Santarella Wedding, June 30, 2007

"The professionalism, warmth, and wonderful music of Espresso Jazz added so much to our June wedding at the Garden House at Look Park. The duo added a wonderful elegance to our wedding ceremony and the trio provided wonderful listening and dance music, playing many of the jazz standards that we requested.  We were especially touched by their willingness to learn and play ,"The Power of Two" (by Indigo Girls) for our special dance when just the two of us took the floor and their accompanying the groom as he sang "The Nearness of You" to the bride.  The music was infectious, as couples young and old later took the dance floor, bringing much life and richness to our reception. Thank you again for adding so much to this special day for us!"    David & Rachael, The Garden House at Look Park Wedding, June 24, 2007

"Everyone really enjoyed the music. We couldn't be more pleased with your flexibility and professionalism. It was truly a magical evening, and you and the band were part of the magic!  Regina, Mother of the Bride, Sturbridge Host Hotel Wedding, May 26,2007

"Just back from our honeymoon , Gary and I want to let you know that the music of Espresso Jazz on our wedding day was beyond perfect!  Exactly the atmosphere that we wanted, it added to the joy of our day.  We had great fun dancing to such beautiful music as did our guests.  Some of our guests told us it was the best wedding that they have attended  because the music was so great and guests could actually have a conversation while enjoying the music!...In addition, I must add that my fourteen year old granddaughter told us that she expected to be bored at an old people’s wedding (typical teenager), but she commented that she had a lot of fun dancing and would like to dance to that music again!!  I am delighted that she was introduced to the beautiful music of Espresso Jazz and you have a new young fan!

We appreciated your professionalism, we were very relaxed knowing that we could count on you to make sure all went smoothly with the ceremony (thanks to your suggestions for music and timing, etc)... and the quick transfer from the ceremony at the gazebo to the reception room was just flawless!...Wonderful job!   We are anxious to hear your music again, live and in person, so we are checking your performance schedule so that we can enjoy the best music by our favorite musicians!  Thank you all for making our wedding day all that we had envisioned, delightful, delicious and de-lovely!!!"   Chris & Gary, The Mill On The River Wedding, October 8, 2006

"Our wedding was perfect and Espresso Jazz helped make the day special.  Your idea to play "Baby Its Cold Outside," a song I requested as our entry song was very thoughtful. We couldn't have asked for more." Kenda & Matt,  Echo Lake Inn Wedding, September 16, 2006

"When we considered an evening wedding reception, we were looking for music that would be expressive, yet very romantic and intimate, to fit the occasion. Espresso Jazz was perfect in realizing both. The music selection was excellent and set a beautiful tone to the entire evening. Many thanks for your outstanding performance."   Maria & Chris, Chandler's at Yankee Candle Wedding, August 11, 2006

"The Espresso Jazz Duo is absolutely wonderful. Sandi Russell and Barbara Hilton are not only talented, but gracious entertainers. Espresso Jazz set the mood for our son and now, daughter in-law’s engagement party and wedding reception. That’s right; they helped our family celebrate both special occasions.  Hearing their sweet melodies of jazz at the engagement party was more than enough for them to be asked to play at the wedding. Their song and music lists are very versatile. Would you believe they even played a polka! Thanks again for helping make these memorable celebrations very special."   Jan, Mother of the Groom, Park Place Inn Wedding, August 20, 2005

"As far as I am concerned, you were the life of the party at my daughter's wedding on August 20. I just wish to second every word of Jan's testimonial and I thank my lucky stars that you were there for us. The wedding was, of course, made in heaven, and the people who assembled to celebrate it were, of course, perfectly capable of celebrating it without your help, but you - you made it absolutely delightful and - easy."  Juris, Father of the Bride, Park Place Wedding, August 20, 2005

"From the initial inquiry to the final note, the Espresso Jazz Trio was nothing but incredibly professional. You held our hands and helped us pick the perfect songs for our wedding celebration. Your set during the cocktail hour set the mood for the entire evening. We, as well as our guests, floated along through the night on the wonderful renditions you played. Guests that I had never seen dance before, had to be dragged off the dance floor for dinner!

Having you there completed every wish that I had for our wedding day. Every mood and memory that I wanted to set was framed by the Espresso Jazz Band. I am so incredibly pleased that you were available for our wedding celebration. I have thrown your name around to everyone I know, hoping that they'll have an event where I can hear you all again. I can honestly say that my evening would not have been the huge success that it was without you there. My feet have not yet touched the ground!  With sincere gratitude and appreciation."   Richelle & Rick, Hotel Marlow Wedding, August 12, 2005

"We just wanted to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our wedding day so special.  We fell in love with your music through our many romantic dinners at Chandlers, where he proposed to me. Since then we’ve dreamed of having you play in our wedding.  We were not disappointed. I received a lot of pressure to hire a D.J. for the wedding. My family was bent on it. I tried to convince them that your music was incredible and it was exactly what I wanted for ambiance.  I told them to experience it for themselves and that it’s MY wedding day!  Huh!  Tough crowd to please… But I have to tell you, that each and every one of those critics was won over!  They sang too that day… your praises for making my reception so amazing!   I saw almost everyone in my family dancing, which melted my heart.  People kept asking me about you, and told me how much they loved your music!

My family and friends couldn’t believe the assortment of beautiful songs that you played.  Your warm sounds permeated not only the entire banquet hall, but deep into our hearts as well.  Sometimes, while I’m driving, I still sing, “Love you madly right or wrong, sound’s like the lyric of a song….”  Duke Ellington.  You made my first dance a dream come true.  You’re so good at what you do.  Thank you again for adding so much to the most important day of my life.  I truly believe you're living out your passion, because it shows!"   Erick & Maria, Elks Lodge Wedding, July 2, 2005

"This is a long overdue thank you. It has been too hectic since we've been back from the honeymoon and I am not keeping up with it all. We just want to thank The Espresso Jazz Trio for your performance at our wedding. The band was always professional while fitting in perfectly. Best of all, my brother was totally impressed and that is not easy to accomplish. See you around."  Pat & Joe, Bucksteep Manor Wedding, May 21, 2005

"We are so grateful to the Espresso Jazz Duo for fitting so perfectly into the magical fabric of our daughter's wedding ceremony and reception. In the planning, we paid attention to every detail in the hope of transforming the dream into reality. Espresso Jazz seamlessly provided a level of  skill, performance, and entertainment that served to enhance the festive day.
The range of Espresso Jazz music was  from classical to contemporary. The classical music was well executed and inspired. The contemporary music was done with verve and casual elegance. Across the board, the performance  was  superb! Our hearts are filled with gratitude when we reflect on the important role that Espresso Jazz had in our daughter's wedding ceremony and reception. You truly wove a little bit of magic on her special day!  And the people said.... "Amen."  Thank you for the memory. We want to do it again!"   Marlene & James, Parents of the Bride, The Wayside Inn Wedding, November 6, 2004

"Thank you for the absolutely wonderful music and performance you provided for us at the Bates Mansion in Proctorsville, Vermont. The song selections you performed will stay with us for the rest of our lives.  All our best and keep in touch on your performances.  We'll take the drive to see you!"   David & Xavier, Bates Mansion Civil Union, October 16, 2004

"As producer of a weekly music show, I've heard more local bands than I can keep track of. When it came time to hire a band for my wedding, I chose Espresso Jazz. My Dad is a jazz lover and he hasn't stopped raving about Sandi Russell's voice."  Drew & Kara  Northfield Mountain Wedding,  September 5, 2004

"Thank you for making our wedding day truly memorable! Every part of our experience with you was a complete joy - from helping us decide what music we wanted, to your performance on the big day." Michael & Megan, The Brandt House Wedding, August 7, 2004

"Thank you, Espresso Jazz for making our wedding dreams come true. The atmosphere created by the band made our reception such an elegant affair. Never, have I seen a more professional, organized or accommodating group. You truly surpassed my highest expectations. People haven't stopped calling our home telling us what a great time they had and how impressed they were with the music. Thank you again for making the biggest day of our lives an unforgettable one!"  Becky & Josh, Delaney House Wedding, July 6, 2004

"We were EXCEPTIONALLY pleased with our decision to have the Espresso Jazz Duo play at our wedding at the Barney Estate. From the bridal procession through the dinner reception, they were a wonderful compliment to the location, food, and overall ambiance of our evening. This is a wonderful, highly-skilled, and super-professional group that we would highly recommend to anyone looking for live entertainment at their own wedding!"   Mark & Stephanie, Barney Estate Wedding, June 25, 2004

"Espresso Jazz performed at my home this June for a Sunday Brunch, the day after my daughter's wedding. It was one of those incredibly beautiful New England June mornings with a brilliant blue sky with a few puffy, white clouds, great sun,  and gentle breeze. I wanted my many out-of-state guests with their children to experience live, delightful music. We staged the band on my deck under a tent with my glorious valley providing a majestic backdrop. With beach umbrellas on the lawn, graceful, spreading maple trees, and scattered blankets my guests enjoyed a delicious and relaxing brunch before their long trips home.

It was particularly rewarding to me to watch the reactions of the children watching this most professional group entertaining all with their wonderful music. My guests ranged in age from six months to 60 years old but it was the generation X-ers who most enjoyed the music - so much so they purchased Espresso Jazz's CDs. There can be no higher compliment to a musical group than buying their CDs. Espresso Jazz turned my ordinary brunch into an extraordinary event. I highly recommend Espresso Jazz to jazz up any event as their professional musical skills are superb."  Marguerite, Mother of the Bride, Charlemont Wedding, June 27, 2004

"Thank you Espresso Jazz  for a great reception performance. Their professionalism and sound made our wedding reception a memorable event. The two piece band filled the room with great sound as our guests enjoyed their music over dinner and dancing alike. Thank you Espresso Jazz!" Nathan & Jessica, Union Station Wedding, June 12, 2004

"I just wanted to thank you again for how special you made my daughter's reception. You and your partner are fabulously talented and gave us the  special ambience we were looking for. "First of all, without a doubt, Espresso Jazz exceeded our every expectation. We already knew how wonderful you would be, but had no idea of the impact you would have on our wedding and our guests. From the moment our guests arrived at the Williams House they were in awe of the smooth sounds and the mood was immediately set! As you know, my father was the center of attention when it came to turning up the heat and showing his moves, and you were right there to make it happen.

The best part of the wedding, was your tribute to my groom and myself with your flawless rendition of Norah Jones' "Come Away with Me". I was so elated and you kept the night magical! The fabulous music brought our two families together and the fun we had will always be remembered. We received so many compliments from our guests, we knew that you were a very important part of our special day. We will definitely look forward to hearing you again when we visit our family in Williamsburg and won't hesitate to book Espresso Jazz for our next event.

"I'm sure everyone thinks their wedding was the best there ever was in the history of weddings. Thanks in no small part to Espresso Jazz, ours actually was. Seriously. When a light delicate tone was called for, they delivered the sound to calm a nervous groom (me). And, when it was time to get the party started--wham! Espresso Jazz. Absolutely perfect. Sandi has put together a fantastic group and everyone shined that night. Whether you need a slow ballad to bring tears of joy to your mother dancing to the tune that she picked out, or if you need the place to rock enough to get your 87 year old grandfather to cut in and swing dance with your new bride, look no further. Thank you Espresso Jazz for making our day so perfect. I'm already looking for excuses for another big party! "  Karl & Kathy, Sunset House Wedding, Sept. 6, 2003

"Thank you for making our wedding so beautiful." Scott & Sara, Colonial Williams Inn Wedding, August 23, 2003

"Thank you and your wonderful band members for providing such fantastic music this past weekend at the wedding of Kate & Kyle Duffy. Your experience and professionalism were truly evident. You helped to set and maintain a warm, elegant, and fun tone. Everyone in attendance, from young children to the senior members of our group, truly enjoyed every minute of your performance. I would (and will) highly recommend Espresso Jazz to anyone who is interested in adding a touch of class and a ton of fun to their event. Well done and thanks again!" Erin, Maid of Honor, North Hero House Wedding, August 9, 2003

"The weekend was an absolute fairy-tale come true as far as I'm concerned, and Espresso Jazz was an important part of that. They performed exactly as we had hoped and created the perfect atmosphere for our Saturday night. We even got a good luck hug from them on the way out. We couldn't have been happier."  Lori & Perry, Windham Inn Wedding,
