Richard Mayer is a free-lance drummer and writer who lives in Brattleboro, VT.  A member of the Jazz Journalist Association, Richard has written features, CD and concert reviews, for the Green Mountain Jazz Messenger, Jazz Improv Magazine, and Seven Days, a weekly alternative paper in Burlington, VT.

A drummer of distinction, Richard added his unique style to the Espresso Jazz CD, The Blues Are Brewin'. He leads the jazz groups, The Richard Mayer Trio and Great American Songbook. Richard recorded a self-produced CD entitled, The Vermont Songbook.
 

 


 
A veteran New Yorker and clarinetist, Bob Sparkman brings to life those swingin' days when clarinet was king. Sparkman writes: " The New York City music scene of my youth was a cornucopia of jazz. On a single block of West 52nd Street, you could hear Billie Holiday, Jack Teagarden, Art Tatum Coleman Hawkins, Sidney Bechet ..."

The spirited clarinet of Bob Sparkman may be heard on Espresso Jazz CDs, All Of Me, I'm Just a Lucky So & So. Bob has also recorded three independent releases with pianist, Clifton J. Noble Jr.
